He traded five countries and a Four Seasons career for a reserve that returns to the wild the animals that can go back — and gives a permanent home to those that can't.
Wdson Ferreira Brum left international luxury hospitality in 2018 to single-handedly care for victims of wildlife trafficking, gunshot wounds, kite-string injuries, and abuse, inside a reserve permanently protected under Brazilian law. He draws no salary, and the operation depends entirely on donations.

Wdson Ferreira Brum built an international career with the Four Seasons hotel group across five countries before leaving it behind in 2018 to dedicate himself to wildlife conservation.
Today he single-handedly cares for the reserve's 23 permanent residents — most of them direct victims of human violence: gunshots, glass-coated kite string, electric shock, burns, illegal captivity. None can be released back into the wild. The reserve is the only place left for them.
When we asked whether he would agree to be the face of the reserve's communications, his answer was direct:

The Reserva do Tico-tico is a Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN) permanently recorded on the property's land title — the protection is bound to the land, not to its owner.
