Maguila

Maguila is one of eight tufted capuchin monkeys rescued from the illegal wildlife trade who now live at the reserve. The tufted capuchin is among the species most targeted by Brazil's illegal wildlife trade, precisely because it is docile and sociable — the same traits that make it a poor pet and, after years in captivity, an even poorer candidate for release.
